The English Department has a vibrant, diverse, and engaged faculty. Our classrooms are centered on the study of literature, film, and culture, demonstrating how rigorous attention to detail opens up readers to the large questions that face humankind.

 

We offer a dynamic study of literature across historical periods, geographical boundaries, and diverse political and social contexts using fiction and non-fiction texts. 

 

Technology integration is the blending of computer-related learning activities into the curriculum to have students acquire, organize, demonstrate, and communicate information. Taft Charter HS utilizes Schoology, Google Classroom, Google Suite, YouTube, Newsela, Quill, and more.
