TAFT TOREADORS FOOTBALL 2021 CIF L.A. CITY DIII CHAMPIONS 

 

On November 26, 2021 the Taft Football team won the 2021 CIF L.A. City DIII Championship game. They had not had such a win since 1998. 

 

“This Taft program was on a 26-game losing streak heading into this season. The Toreadors hadn’t won a game since Oct. 2017 until Aug. 27 of this year. These kids didn’t quit. Taft has had a proud, and tradition rich football program for decades. The Toreadors have made CIF Los Angeles City Section Championship Appearances in 1992, 1996, 1997, 1998, 2001, 2002, 2005 and most recently in 2021.

 

Taft has produced over 100 All-City Players, and countless players have earned college football scholarships – dozens of which have been at the Division 1 level. Several Taft players have gone on to have NFL careers, as well as playing professionally in the Arena League and the Canadian Football League.
